The recipients of the certification are the operators who produce, prepare, store, market or import from a third country both live or unprocessed agricultural products and processed agricultural products destined to be used as food obtained with the organic farming method. 

 

The certification for agriculture that exploits the natural fertility of the soil promotes the biodiversity of the environment in which it operates

Organic farming is a production method:

  • that admits the use of natural and organic substances only, excluding the use of chemical and / or genetically modified ones;
  • that exploits natural resources (soil, water and air) in a non-intensive way;
  • which takes into great consideration the safeguarding of biodiversity and the seasonality of the products.

The recipients of the certification are the operators who produce, prepare, store, market or import from a third country both live or unprocessed agricultural products and processed agricultural products destined to be used as food obtained with the organic farming method.
The service is valid both for the traditional farmer who intends to subject his activity to the organic farming method, and to the farmer who already works in the organic sector and asks to be certified.

Organizing in an organic way means respecting the principles, rules and requirements of organic farming. Anyone wishing to become an organic farmer should make sure they know the necessary legislation.

Organic farmers, processors and traders must comply with the strict EU requirements if they wish to use the EU organic logo or label their products as organic.

EU legislation ensures that “organic” means the same for consumers and producers across the EU. The legislation on organic products is developed with the participation of Member States and the assistance of advisory and technical committees and specialized bodies.
